Description

Hashish is produced practically everywhere in and around Afghanistan. The best kinds of Hash in Afghanistan originate from the Northern provinces between the Hindu Kush and the Russian border (Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif).

The plants which are used for Hash production are very small and bushy Indicas. In Afghanistan Hashish is pressed by hand after the addition of a small quantity of tea or water. The Hashish is worked on until it becomes highly elastic and has a strong aromatic smell. In Afghanistan, the product is stored in the form of Hash-Balls (because a round ball has the least contact with air), however, before being shipped, the Hash is pressed tightly in 100g slabs generally. Good qualities of Afghani are signed with the stem of the producing family.

Producers often use a silkscreen method to extract reddish-gold resin glands. Then, all of this kief is stored through the end of the fall. Once wintertime rolls around, it’s hash pressing season. Kief crystals are transferred to cotton or linen bags and pressed. This creates a soft, crumbly, smooth hash brick.

Look

This hash looks slightly reddish-brown in color with lovely cake-like LAYERS, the structure shows that the “press” was just the right amount. Not too hard to make it oily but just enough to make the skin slightly shine.

Smell

Very fresh and minty, it had a couple of people in the office thinking it was a super-polm at first. That was until… you smell the smoke! At that point, you are met with a very “peppery” scent that is very similar to a darker Indian hash.

Taste

It goes down nice and smooth with a softly chalk/earth-flavor (this seems to be a pretty consistent red leb trait). It kind of burns like it was NOT dry pressed but all other indicators say that it WAS…

Effects

The effects here are really nice and relaxed. You feel a bit like you have had a couple of beers; not TOO many so that you are acting stupid, but just enough to have a nice buzz. The way this gear makes me feel is the equivalent of having a “chillout session” with some candles and a hot bath. Aaahhhh…

Overall

For a LONG time, this type of hash was nowhere (in Europe) to be found! Now, some shipments are having the highest quality we’ve seen in a daze! This one from “The Kash” is certainly running with the best…
